We need your help to finish a project that ensures the bravery and sacrifice of our nation's heroes are never forgotten. The Asymmetric Operations Group (AOG) is continuing the fundraising campaign for the Mogadishu Memorial, which will be placed at the Army Heritage Center in Carlisle, PA.
The memorial will honor the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Mogadishu, famously depicted in "Black Hawk Down." It includes a statue of Medal of Honor recipient Randy Shughart, mounted on a granite base engraved with the names of the fallen heroes from the 160th Aviation Regiment, 3rd Ranger Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1SFOD-D).
We are $60,000 short, mainly due to the Army's requirement for a trust fund to cover future maintenance and repairs. Your donation will help complete this lasting tribute to the men who gave everything during that fateful day on October 3, 1993.
How to Donate:
Every donation is tax-deductible. Even if you can only give $25, it will make a difference in helping us honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Thank you for your support! Together, we can make sure their legacy lives on.
